As I had released the tadpoles with the arms and legs before I went on holiday a few weeks ago I thought I would never see them back. But this little guy was waiting for me next to the waterhole, every day he's there to say hello. He is so tiny, smaller than my little toe and hard to spot when in the water. Luckily he is often waiting on the brick which is on top of the waterhole to hold the metal oven rack so he can escape from the cats and chooks in our garden! Isn't he beautiful?
A while back, somewhere in June, when my friend Sal went oversees, she donated five motorbike frogs to my garden from her glass house. I was so happy with them and very disappointed that I hadn't seen them since. Until today! Five months later! This little guy seemed to be very happy to snuggle into the palm of my hand and stay there for a while while I felt six years old again. As a kid I loved frogs, I could play with them for hours and I suppose you never loose that...
Nothing can compare to the original shapes of flora and fauna. Life is beautiful and while wandering around I regularly have a lucky find of some real pretty things. I used to take them home but nowadays I take my digital camera with me and leave them in place. They are my inspiration!
