Beach in winter

Sunday afternoon when I was walking along the beach between Cottesloe and Swanbourne I wondered what happened to the nice looking green weeds which were covering these sharp rocks last year? It looks like the sea has taken more sand than previous years and uncovered an agressive side of sharp grey rocks.
I am sure it looks a bit friendlier when the sun shines...

Bleeding sponge

During the beach walk Sunday afternoon at the beach between Cottesloe and Swanbourne:
The area where all the sand has washed away and left only sharp rocks is washed with seaweed a bit further north and I found this huge red colored sponge standing straight up as if it was wondering how it ended up there...

Shell

How old are these shells? They've gathered so much stuff in their grooves as well as other shells.

Ringneck feathers

Although we don't see them as often as we used to I find regularly some brigth yellow and green feathers of a ringneck.

Buds

These beautiful flower buds are growing on an eucaliptus tree around the corner of my place. The brigth red is such a nice contrast with the green and have an amazing shape.
