Rubbery seaweed

There was a whole lot of this kind of rubbery softfeel seaweed at the beach north of Jurien Bay on the long weekend of ANZAC day. I loved the texture and the squeezyness of it, how beautiful it is...

Cherrie Blossom

Spring was definitely in the air as the cherrie trees were blossoming in abundance.

Koolmeesjes

I don't know the name of this little bird in English, in Dutch we call them Koolmeesjes. There were a couple playing and flying so fast I hardly could manage to picture them. Spring was in the air for sure! I suppose these lovebirds will have offspring soon in the little trees near the horse pen at the farm in Holland.

Pieris brassicae

This dirty white butterfly was hanging on the garage wall in Holland.

Black Cat

This little black cat was my friend on the farm at my parents place.

Dandelion

I was in Holland over the Easter break to visit my family as my father is very ill. Spring was in the air, when I arrived the trees were still without leaves and when I left they turned into delicate green and some where flowering.
Also the dandelions where all over the place, look at the tiny curls in the flower, so beautiful!

Eucalyptus Erythrocarys

Also called Red Cap Eucalyptus, native to West Australia.
The top photo is from buds I've picked up a few years ago, the bottom one I took yesterday along the railway road, close to the Macrocarpa. The red cap falls of and unfolds the yellow flower. Isn't this an ingenius little thing?

Eucalyptus Macrocarpa

Native to Western Australia, they like dry soil. This one is growing along the railway road to Freo on the bicycle track. The flowers are huge, the biggest of all Eucalypt flowers!
