Hakea laurina

Also called Pin-cushion Hakea, is growing on my verge. I've planted the tiny seedling a few years ago and it had two flowers last year autumn which are now the seed pods. This month it started flowering again with many more flowers.
I don't know how large it will grow so I keep it low pruned as it's prohibited to have large plants on the verge unfortunately.

lt is a stunning plant, a real boon to wildlife and can grow to ten meters high. l just planted two in my habitat garden along The West Bank along with the two 'Stockdale Sensation' Hakea plant that was planted several years ago and which is often full of small birds.

I wish I could let it grow to 10 meters high! It's on the verge and unfortunately I have to keep it low. But it's doing very well and goes wide now.
