Rubbery seaweed

There was a whole lot of this kind of rubbery softfeel seaweed at the beach north of Jurien Bay on the long weekend of ANZAC day. I loved the texture and the squeezyness of it, how beautiful it is...

It's called Codium Fragile also known as Dead man's fingers, sponge weed or rats feet. A very invasive species but edible.
Raw Codium has an earthy flavor, much like oysters, and is full of vitamins and fatty acids.
