Kapok Tree
When I traveled in the Kimberley I've picked up one of the kapok-tree fruits which was bright green. The little trees along the Gibb River Road had bright yellow, sweet smelling, flowers and some had huge fruits hanging on skinny branches. The fruit turned brown in the bowl on my outdoor table and suddenly opened up cotton spilling out... A few months later the shell is empty, all cotton seeds were blown away... I am looking forward to a little kapok tree in the garden!
