 This very pretty crusader bug sat on a matching recycling bin in Subiaco WA

Mushrooms

 And suddenly there are heaps of mushrooms growing in my pots where tomatoes have been growing over summer. They start as small pretty looking things as in the top 3 photos and 2 days later they have expanded into huge mushroom heads covering the pots totally. They look delicious but I don't dare try any of it.

 I made these photos at Karrakatta graveyard in Perth; beautiful bright red centred leaves. Can't find what it is though.

 When you don't clean your outdoor table after spilling ice cream you attract all kind of fancy folk in pin stripe suits. 

Magnolia full of bees

 In December I am enjoying the aroma therapy from the blooming magnolias on my way to the dog oval. The bees love to roll around in the pollen, it's delicious and they don't mind me sharing for a whiff of goodness.

 This Hibiscus was expected dead, but nature is tough so it came back this year with flowers

 These huge mushrooms, the biggest about 20cm in diameter, were growing in my veggie garden near the avocado tree

CHENILLE HONEY-MYRTLE (MELALEUCA HUEGELII)

 Flowering bushes around Lake Claremont, beautiful sweet honey smelling and attractive to the bees. 

A week later it's still full of bees and also brown Flower Beetles.
