Yellow beach flower

There were quite a few of these yellow beach flowers growing on Mandalay Beach during Christmas. They look so tough, leathery and grow just in the yellow sand, amazing!

Green leaves

This amazing bright green leafy scrub is growing in a weird way; from the centre of the leaf. I read the name of it somewhere but can't remember it anymore, it grows in abundance along the Heritage trail in Walpole.

With Christmas we walked along Mandalay Beach in D'Entrecasteax National Park and came along this big rock with a hole in it. It looks a little bit like a skull with some fantasy...

Huge caterpillar in my garden

This huge bright green caterpillar, bigger than my largest finger, was hiding in my pot of almost died strawberry plants. Curled up it didn't look that big... I think this part is it's head and the part with the brown hook is it's rear... not sure. I've tried to locate him again but can't find him, I assume he is trying to cocoon and get ready to be a huge butterfly?

The bright orange flowers of the Eucalyptus ficifolia are blooming in our streets at the moment, so pretty.

A few Crested Terns on the beach in Guilderton this weekend, on the stretch of beach where the Moore River meets the Indian Ocean.

There is a big sand bank at Walters Point going pretty far into the Swan River during low tide where you can find these shells all over the place.

Spider

I was storing away photos from the last year starting with December last year and came across this forgotten tiny spider hiding in the wild jasmin along the pool. He is almost transparant and very pretty with the brown accent on it's back.
