Giant grasshopper

 

There are so many of these giant grasshoppers in our veggie garden that I don't mind if my cat catches one, the chickens love them too. But they're very pretty beasts!

A week later I discovered a whole nest of babies on my banana tree....

This beautiful cicada was resting on my young plum tree. Spring Perth WA
