And finally we got rain in Perth! Six week late and nature was longing for it as you can see! This morning we suddenly got a whole bunch of mushrooms popping their heads up through the dead leaves of our Mulberrie tree.
It's almost winter and in the mean time most of the Dombeya flowers of the trees next to our house have dried up. This version is as beautiful as the bright white and gorgeous smelling version without the sweet smell but with the extra sound of brittleness.
This colourful hairy seaweed was also scattered around the beaches of Sandy Cape, north of Jurien Bay, a few weekends ago. I love the purple, red and orange colors! There was heaps of the stuff... in some areas nature had build high walls of seaweed...
During our hike through Stockyard Gully caves we encountered these beautiful species of native wildlife. We used to have them in the garden about five years ago, but they are chased away by the noisy Rainbow lorikeets, such a pity, the sound of the Ringnecks is so much more gentle.
Sandy Cape, a bit north of Jurien Bay, is a nice spot for a beach walk but also to camp pretty basic. We loved it there, especially the huge sky filled with stairs and a complete milky way as a blanket above you with the sounds of the waves hitting the beach... We were there with Anzac day weekend... romantic hey?
Nothing can compare to the original shapes of flora and fauna. Life is beautiful and while wandering around I regularly have a lucky find of some real pretty things. I used to take them home but nowadays I take my digital camera with me and leave them in place. They are my inspiration!
